HEARTHLUXURY HOMES
A lakefront estate in stone, cedar shake and heavy timber, with the water beyond
Hearth Luxury Homes  ·  Metro Atlanta & North Georgia

Built to be inherited.

Custom residences from two to five million dollars, built once and properly, by people who have been doing this for two generations.

The belief

A hearth is the one thing every house is built around.

Everything else is arrangement. The rooms, the elevations, the millwork, the stone — all of it exists to hold a place where a family gathers, and a house that forgets this is only an expensive building.

We build for the way a family will actually live in a house twenty years from now, not for the way it photographs the week it is finished. That is a slower brief and a more demanding one, and it is the only one worth taking.

The lineage

Fifty years of estate building stands behind every house we start.

Hearth is built in partnership with Brody Dernehl, owner of The Dernehl Company — an Atlanta builder founded in 1972 and responsible for more than seventy-five custom homes, from Buckhead estates to houses in the North Georgia mountains.

Brody is the second generation. He began on job sites as a boy, ran his own crews at twenty, and has spent nearly two decades managing large estate construction in Atlanta and California. Hearth brings that discipline to houses at a scale a family can actually commission.

What we build
  1. I

    Custom homes

Ground-up residences designed for a specific family on a specific piece of land. Two to five million, and no house repeated.

  2. II

    On your land, or ours

Bring a lot and we will tell you honestly what it can carry. If you have not found one yet, we will look with you before you buy.

  3. III

    Architect-led

We work alongside the architect you choose, or introduce you to the ones we trust. The drawings lead; we make them buildable.

  4. IV

    Estate renovation

Whole-house work on significant homes, where the structure is sound and the plan is not.

  5. V

    Mountain houses

Building in North Georgia is its own discipline — grade, access, weather, and water. We have done it for years.

Every project begins the same way: a conversation about how you live, before anyone draws a line or quotes a number.

The process

Four stages, and the first one is free.

I

Conversation

How you live, what you are trying to build, what you have to spend. We will tell you plainly whether we are the right builder for it.

II

Pre-construction

Site study, architect selection, real budgeting against real drawings. Most cost surprises are decided here, before a shovel moves.

III

Construction

One superintendent, our own trades where it matters, and a schedule you can hold us to. You will always know what happens next week.

IV

Delivery & after

A proper walkthrough, a documented house, and a builder who answers the phone in year three.
